Moj Dilbere by Don Sakitar

Yesterday I listened to an interesting demo CD of the band Don Sakitar. Don Sakitar is a professional duo that plays a variety of existing and 'home-made' songs. The musicians alternate different musical styles, like jazz, r&b, klezmer, and tango. Although the repertoire is diverse, the sound of the band is unique. It is hip. The song on the CD that stroke me most was an old traditional Balkan song, called 'Moj Dilbere' (which means 'My dearest'). The musicians play this delicate song with feeling.
