MC1R - Natural Redheads
Not long ago I was at the Museum of Photography in The Hague (NL) to see an interesting exhibition of photographer Hanne van der Woude , called 'MC1R - Natural Redheads'. This exhibtion (May 10 - June 29, 2008) displays an interesting set of pictures of people with red hair (natural redheads). What intrigued me most at this exhibition was the focus of the photographer: taking pictures of people with a one striking feature (in this case natural redheads) in a specific environment (the green/blue countryside) all leading up to 'huge optical impact', because the red/orange of the redheads 'contrasts' with the green/blue of the natural environment (i.e. complementary colors). This exhibition is highly recommended!
