Energetic Music!

In the infinite world of MySpace I 'virtually' encountered the great and energetic band called Municipale Balcanica. Their musical style is a mishmash of balcan, klezmer, jazz and punk music. Listen for instance to the title song of their latest album: Foua!

Black Joke

One of the most fantastic fusion songs ever is Casiopea's Black Joke (and then I mean the 1979 performances, with drummer Takashi Sasaki; more recent versions are too much polished). I found a great live performance on the web. Listen and enjoy the music!

Nara in The Hague

Last saturday we were in The Hague and went to the GEM, a small but great museum for contemporary art. We saw a great exhibition, a mixture of pictures and installations, by Yoshitomo Nara, a very popular contemporary Japanese artist. This exhibition is Nara's first solo presentation of work in Europe. So what we saw was something special. And yes, the work of Nara was intriguing and definitely worth visiting. Further of interest: free parking, a nice terrace, and the beach is not that far ;-).
